Farragut Center

Building Area 250,000 SF
Location Washington DC
Situated in the heart of the central business district of Washington, D.C., the mid-block site is the combination of two parcels resulting in a 200ā€™ wide south facing street exposure. The site is flanked between two nondescript corner office buildings and has an unusually high open perimeter (72%), due to a ā€œUā€-shaped alley that extends across the rear and partially around the sides of the site. Eye Street is a one-way street and functions as a major route to the west end of the city, and has convenient access the three different metro lines one block away. A metro tunnel runs down Eye Street within 10ā€™ of the south property line and complicated the excavation of the site and the construction of the building.
